This website is for those wanting to learn more about the company New Leaf Weight Loss Solutions (NLWLS) and the services offered. It is not a business deal, recommending or counselling service, or professional arrangement between the client and New Leaf Weight Loss Solutions.
Information on the website is regularly updated, but NLWLS cannot be held responsible for information that may be incorrect, excluded, obsolete or old-fashioned. We do not guarantee that the information is precise or right. Data cannot be used to make medical conclusions, or for medical guidance.
Neither NLWLS nor its employees practice medicine or give medical advice. Any information given by NLWLS should not be used for medical advice or used instead of your doctors advice. NLWLS acts as an intermediary ONLY, to allow clients access to surgery with Dr Martin Hruby. You will be sent a booking confirmation, a contract from the surgeon. NLWLS and its employees purely act as an intermediary, and is not qualified to give medical advice.
Reports, images and cases of treatments shown are just illustrations of surgeries that may be offered. NLWLS believes the information to be correct, but cannot be held responsible for inaccuracies. Prices on our website are estimates only.
Links to third party websites are outside of our control therefore we cannot accept any liability for the information contained within them.
Our responsibilities
New Leaf Weight Loss Solutions will help you to access surgery in the Czech Republic. Once your date has been reserved, we will write to you with a booking confirmation and a contract from Dr Hruby .
The hospital has been inspected by us, and the surgeon has been carefully checked. However we cannot offer any guarantee regarding the level of service provided by the hospital or its staff. We hold no medical qualifications, and we hold no responsibility for the standard of work provided by the surgeon, doctors and other members of staff at the hospital. The contract for surgery and other medical care is between yourself and the surgeon/hospital. Any responsibility rests with the surgeon/hospital. We accept no liability of any nature for the work, exclusions or failure, whether negligent or otherwise, of hospital, its goods and their suppliers and services.
Your surgeon, through us, will provide pre and post-operative instructions and advice. Should you fail to follow this advice, we cannot be held responsible/liable for the outcome where there is injury or damage resulting. In the unlikely event that the surgeon judges that you are not fit enough to undergo surgery, we do not accept any financial liability, and will not offer compensation for expenses incurred.
Medical questionnaires and confidentiality
Any information given to us via the completed medical questionnaires will be treated with confidentiality, however the information will be shared with the surgeon and his staff. Medical information is stored in a secure, locked setting. NLWLS cannot be held responsible/liable for any medical or financial consequences if you fail to answer the questionnaire correctly. Answers must be honest and truthful. Medical history must also be fully disclosed to the staff at the hospital.
Pricing/payment Information
The price agreed at time of booking will include your surgery, consultation with the surgeon and other specialists necessary to your procedure, any pre-operative tests the surgeon requires, accommodation at the hospital depending on surgery requirements, transfers from the airport to the hospital, reverse transfers for departure and your hospital accommodation for the duration of your stay, diet meals after the first night and post operative medication. You are liable for any other costs that you incur such as additional meals, use of telephone etc.
Full payment is due following the pre-operative tests at Panochova Hospital. In case of cancellation of the surgery following these tests, a charge of 400 euros will be made to cover the costs of the tests.
In unforeseen circumstances an extended stay may be necessary. You may have to book a later flight back to the UK. NLWLS is not liable for these extra associated costs.
Our price for Weight loss surgery includes the following additional benefits:
- The medical costs incurred due to any unplanned or unforeseen stay in Intensive Care following surgery (your quote covers 7 days stay. Anything over and above this will need to be paid for separately).
- Medicine to take home and a discharge note to take to your GP upon your return to the UK
Co-operation and health details
As part of the contract to provide weight loss surgery clients are asked to provide medical details, weight and diet details, and we ask for some pre operative preparations to be made by the client. If the client fails to provide the required medical information, whether knowingly or unknowingly, or fails to complete the pre operative preparations, and the surgeon refuses to perform the surgery, or postpones the surgery, because of the failure of non disclosure or adherence to preparation, all payments made for the treatment will be retained by NLWLS (your deposit), and you will be charged 400 Euro for the costs of the pre-operative tests. Any additional costs (such as the cost of re-arranging flights, transport and accommodation) will be the responsibility of the patient.
Postponement of procedure for medical reasons (all procedures)
Sometimes, rarely, following pre-operative tests, a condition comes to light which the patient and team were unaware of. Unfortunately this may lead to the planned procedure being postponed or deferred. A course of action will be agreed with the patient, the risk will be evaluated, and the patient may be asked to return at a later date when the medical condition has been treated. There will be no additional charge, other than the costs involved in any re-scheduling of flights and transfer to the hospital (140 Euro return). If the patient decides not to return for the planned procedure, or if the medical condition is such that the planned procedure is not possible, NLWLS and Panochova Hospital will charge you 400 Euro towards the costs of the pre-operative tests.
Changes & Cancellation Policy
Please notify us immediately if you decide to change your booking. The booking will not be considered confirmed until NLWLS issues a revised Booking Confirmation. Please inform us in writing if you decide to cancel your booking.
Travel Information and Passports
Travel arrangements between your home and Prague airport are your responsibility. Please make sure you travel with all required documentation. New Leaf Weight Loss Surgery does not take any responsibility should there be a delay in your flight or if your travel documents are not correct.
People from the UK will require a valid full passport for travel to the Czech Republic, valid for at least 6 months before expiry. Please ensure that you check your flight timings carefully.
We can only advise of the requirements for British passport holders. For other passport holders and for British passports endorsed in any other way, enquiries should be made at the Czech Embassy.
Circumstances beyond our Control
After taking all reasonable care, circumstances may still arise which are outside of our control, which we could not see or avoid. In the unlikely event of having to cancel or change your booking, we will discuss this with you and rearrange or cancel your booking. For expenses or losses, NLWLS will not be liable to pay any compensation, accept responsibility if we have to change your booking after departure or if we or our supplier cannot provide your procedure as agreed, or you suffer any loss or damage of any description as a result of circumstances beyond our control.
Should our supplier be unable to provide the service as agreed upon, NLWLS is not liable for any compensation. Nor are we responsible for any circumstances that have further expenditure associated, which are outside of the subject of the contract, or which are beyond our control, which we cannot foresee or avoid having taken due care.
In accordance with your needs, please arrange your own travel insurance.
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY. BY PLACING A BOOKING, YOU ARE BOUND BY THESE TERMS UNLESS AGREED IN WRITING. STATUTORY RIGHTS APPLY AS PER STATUTES OF THE EUROPEAN UNION.
